SMS program details

Program name: Cogent Consulting Group Appointment & Customer Care Messaging.
Program description: Two-way, conversational messages tied to a customer's own request — appointment confirmations and reminders, intake follow-up links, answers to customer questions, and service updates. We do not send third-party marketing, affiliate offers, or lead-generation messages, and we never share or sell mobile numbers or SMS consent to third parties for their own marketing.
Sending number: (224) 506-1160.
Message frequency: Varies by conversation; typically 1–5 messages per appointment or request.
Cost: Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How we collect consent (all opt-in paths)

1. Web form on this page

The visitor enters their mobile number and checks an unchecked-by-default consent box containing the full disclosure language shown above, then submits the form. Consent, the exact checkbox wording, and the timestamp are stored with the record.

2. Verbal consent during a phone call

When a customer calls (224) 506-1160 (or a client's CCG-configured business line), the AI receptionist or a staff member reads this script and only proceeds on a clear "yes":

"Is it okay if I send a text message to this number with a link to finish your request and with appointment updates from Cogent Consulting Group? Message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out."

The affirmative answer, the number, and the timestamp are logged in our system with the call record. The first text we send restates who we are and how to opt out.

3. Customer texts us first

A customer may start the conversation by texting (224) 506-1160 — including keywords such as START, SUBSCRIBE, YES, INFO, BOOK, or APPOINTMENT. Their inbound message is the opt-in, and our first reply confirms the program and the opt-out instructions:

"CCG: You're opted in to appointment, scheduling, and follow-up messages from Cogent Consulting Group (myccgroup.com). Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help, or call (224) 506-1160."

4. Online intake / booking form

Customers who follow a texted or emailed intake link complete a short form that carries the same unchecked consent checkbox and disclosure language before any further messages are sent.

How to opt out or get help
